Liverpool striker, Sadio Mane's family home in Senegal has been reportedly attacked by hoodlums who are still angry at Mane for losing the penalty kick which sent his country out of the 2017 African Cup of Nations championship held in Gabon.

Senegal were trashed 5-4 on penalty in the quarter-final by Cameroon who later went on to win the title, and it was due to Mane's penalty miss that led the Senegalese to their defeat.

All this is due to the fact that Mane scored two goals within the interval of 2 minutes for his club Liverpool against Tottenham on Saturday making him the man-of-the-match.

Many fans, mostly the Senegalese are of the opinion that Mane missed the penalty kick deliberately so as to return back to his club to help in the Premiere League tittle race.

There are no reports of anyone being injured during the incident, the house is located in Malika, but it was reported that Mane's £26,000 SUV car was completely damaged as his relatives fled for the safety of their lives.

According to what a source told The Sun, the displeasing event has been reported to the police for justice to be served.

“Mane’s uncle and his family have reported these persons to the police. We just hope they will get the punishment they deserve."
